CricIntelligence is a free AI analytics platform delivering real-time win probability, score projections and player analysis for IPL and international T20 cricket.
CricIntelligence gives cricket fans the same data-driven insights that professional analysts use — without needing a subscription or a data science degree. Every prediction updates ball by ball using live match data from Cricbuzz.
The platform is built specifically for T20 and ODI cricket, where match momentum shifts quickly and a single over can change everything. Our models are trained to capture those dynamics, not just produce static pre-match odds.
ML model recalculates win probability after every ball, factoring in current score, wickets, required run rate, pitch conditions and recent momentum.
Over-by-over score checkpoints at 6, 10 and 15 overs for the batting team, using venue history, pitch type and current run rate.
Batter milestone probabilities (next 50, current form vs career average) and wicket probability for the current bowler, updated live.
Estimated runs the current batting pair will add before the next wicket falls, based on career partnerships and current match situation.
Venue-specific pitch ratings (bat-friendly, seam, spin) and dew factor calculations for evening matches to quantify conditions advantage.
Expected runs and wicket risk for the next 3 overs, with confidence ratings and batting/bowling context (strike rate, economy, boundary %).
The core prediction engine is a gradient-boosted machine learning model trained on over 750,000 ball-by-ball records from T20 cricket matches spanning 2008 to 2025. Features include:
Win probability predictions are calibrated to avoid unrealistic extremes — T20 cricket is volatile enough that even a 90% favourite can lose. Our model caps probabilities accordingly and adjusts for known team strength ratings in IPL, PSL and international cricket.
Live match data is sourced from the Cricbuzz API, refreshed every 20 seconds during active matches. Historical training data uses Cricsheet's open ball-by-ball dataset. Weather data for dew and pitch condition adjustments is pulled from a real-time weather API using the venue location.
CricIntelligence was built by a cricket-obsessed developer based in the United Kingdom. The project started as a personal tool to get better T20 analysis during IPL, and grew into a full prediction platform. The entire stack — ML model training, backend API, and frontend interface — is custom-built.
